By accessing and using Attachments for YNAB (“the Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.

2. Description of Service

Attachments for YNAB is a third-party service that allows users to attach files and documents to their You Need A Budget (YNAB) data, including transactions, categories, payees, and accounts. We are not affiliated with You Need A Budget LLC.

3. User Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Share your account credentials with others

5. Data and Privacy

  • Your files are stored in your own cloud storage (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) under your control
  • We only store connection tokens and file metadata references - not your actual files
  • We do not access your YNAB account directly - all connections are authorized by you
  • We may collect usage analytics to improve the Service

6. Intellectual Property

  • You retain full ownership of all files and content in your cloud storage
  • You grant us a limited license to access metadata and facilitate connections for the purpose of providing the Service
  • We do not claim any rights to your files, which remain entirely under your control
  • The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Attachments for YNAB

7. Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
  • We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability
  • We are not responsible for data loss in your cloud storage (regular backups recommended)

8. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service.
